From enquiry to execution

A clear route from specification to shipment.

Manufacturing overseas shouldn't mean managing it all yourself. We run the process in India and keep you in control of the decisions that matter.

The process

Six stages. One team.

  1. Share your requirement

Send drawings, a sample or a product brief with quantities, destination and target timeline. We can sign an NDA before you share anything sensitive.

    • Drawings, 3D models or tech pack
    • Quantities and call-off pattern
    • Delivery destination and timing
  2. Feasibility & supplier shortlist

We review the specification, raise questions early and approach suppliers whose equipment, experience and scale suit your product.

    • Specification review and clarifications
    • Capability check on shortlisted suppliers
    • Early flags on cost or risk drivers
  3. Quotation & terms

You receive a clear quotation covering unit price, tooling, lead time and delivery terms, so you can compare it with your current supply.

    • Unit and tooling costs
    • Lead time for samples and production
    • Incoterms and payment terms
  4. Samples & approval

Tooling and samples are produced and checked against your specification. Production only starts once you have approved them.

    • First-article or pre-production samples
    • Measurement and test reports
    • Your written sign-off
  5. Production & follow-up

We track production against agreed milestones and keep you informed. If something drifts, we raise it and resolve it with the supplier.

    • Milestone tracking
    • In-process checks where agreed
    • Proactive updates and exception handling
  6. Inspection & delivery

Goods are inspected against the agreed criteria before they leave the factory, then shipped with our freight partners on the agreed terms.

    • Pre-shipment inspection
    • Export documentation
    • Freight coordination to your door or port

FAQ

Questions about working with us.

Do I contract with Mekvara or with the factory?

With Mekvara. You place your order with us and we manage the supplier relationship in India. You have one contract and one point of contact, rather than having to manage several overseas suppliers yourself.

How do you protect my drawings and designs?

We can sign a non-disclosure agreement before you share drawings, and we share information with suppliers only as needed to quote and produce. Tooling and IP ownership are agreed in writing.

How long does it take to get a quotation?

It depends on the complexity of the product and how complete the RFQ is. When we acknowledge your enquiry we will give you an expected timeline and tell you if we need more information.

Is there a minimum order?

There is no fixed minimum. Suppliers do have practical minimums, and for very small quantities freight and setup costs can outweigh savings. We will be upfront if your volumes are unlikely to make sense.

Can I visit the factory?

Yes. We can arrange supplier visits in India, accompanied by our team, at the appropriate stage of the project.

What delivery terms do you offer?

Delivery terms are agreed per project and can range from ex-works or FOB to delivered-to-door. We coordinate with freight partners so you know the full landed picture before you commit.
