Castings & forgings
Custom metal components with the production process, tooling and finishing requirements assessed against your specification.
Overview
How we source castings & forgings.
Casting and forging projects succeed or fail on process selection, tooling and the first samples. We help you choose the right route — sand, investment or die casting, open- or closed-die forging — and then find foundries and forge shops set up for it.
India has established foundry and forging clusters in Rajkot, Kolhapur, Coimbatore, Pune and Ludhiana, among others. We manage the pattern or die development, sample approval and any downstream machining so you receive a finished part, not a raw blank you still need to process.
Scope
What we source.

Getting a useful quote
What to include in your RFQ.
The more complete the brief, the more accurate the quotation. Missing something? Send what you have and we will help fill the gaps.
- Drawings of the finished (machined) part and, if available, the casting or forging
- Material grade and mechanical property requirements
- Annual volume and batch sizes — these drive the process choice
- Whether you own existing patterns or dies
- Non-destructive testing requirements (e.g. radiography, dye penetrant, ultrasonic)
- Machining, coating and packing requirements

Quality
Checkpoints agreed before production starts.
- Pattern or die approval before sample production
- Chemical and mechanical test reports on sample and production heats
- Agreed NDT and dimensional inspection on samples
- Visual, dimensional and coating checks before shipment
Inspection scope is agreed per project and can include independent third-party inspection where required.
FAQ
Common questions.
Who owns the tooling?
We agree tooling ownership in writing before development starts. In most cases the customer pays for and owns patterns and dies, and they are held by the supplier for your orders only.
Can you supply machined castings rather than raw castings?
Yes. Many of our projects involve casting plus machining. We coordinate both steps and inspect the finished part.
